Amaranth
Genuine Amaranth wood cane with an extra wide derby handle set off smartly
with a brass ring, Amaranth also known as Purpleheart wood is found in Central
and South America. This exotic wood is a favorite for all who use it. It is a striking
purple when cut, darkening into a deeper purple with age. It has a fine texture
with a luster that ranges from medium to high. Its grain is usually straight but
can be wavy and it is known for its strength. The shaft on this cane is 36″ long
and tapers from 7/8″ to 3/4″ in diameter.
It is imported from Germany.
